Overview of the RBI Summer Internship
The Reserve Bank of India is inviting applications for the RBI summer internship for students who want hands-on experience in economics, banking, finance, statistics, and research. This internship is also called the RBI Summer Placement Programme. Students must apply online between before 15th December 2025 for the internship beginning in April 2026.

Who Can Apply
The RBI summer internship is open to students in the second last year of their course.
Eligible candidates include:
- Students pursuing post-graduate courses.
- Students in integrated five-year programs in Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking, or Finance.
- Students in a three-year full-time professional bachelor’s degree in Law from recognized colleges in India.
- Only penultimate-year students can apply.
How to Apply

Selection Process:
The RBI will select up to 125 students for the summer placement. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held in January or February. Outstation candidates must bear their own travel expenses for the interview. Selected candidates will be informed in February or March.
Selected outstation candidates will be reimbursed AC II Tier return rail fare for travel to their place of training.
Declaration of Secrecy: Selected students must sign a declaration of secrecy before beginning the internship.
Duration of the Internship:
The internship usually lasts up to three months between April and July. RBI may reduce or extend the duration depending on its needs.
Place of Training:
